Our Story
A long, long, long time ago... ...there was an architect named Todd Rottmann. He created an architecture firm that was not like all the others. He then met another architect named Rod Collier. Rod also didn’t fit in with all of the other firms. Together, they created the very unique firm of Rottmann Collier Architects.
The collaborative team of Rottmann Collier Architects combines a wealth of varied experience in the realms of architecture, interior design, preservation, and planning. As a full-service architecture and interior design firm, Rottmann Collier Architects is proud to serve the community that surrounds us. The work of our office spans a wide variety of project types in Indiana and the greater Midwest. While Higher Education Facilities, Community buildings, commercial and mixed-use complexes make up the public side of the practice, our multi-family housing, private residential architecture, and interior design allows the firm to apply a broad range of materials and technologies.
In both commercial and residential projects, our commitment to affordable, accurate, sustainable design, and sense of place has resulted in numerous awards and publications. Our attention to detail and personalized service creates successful projects and long-term relationships.
Both Todd Rottmann and Rod Collier graduated with honors from Ball State University College of Architecture and Planning in Muncie, Indiana.
Todd started Rottmann Architects, Inc. in 1997 after gaining valuable experience at several architecture firms in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne. In addition to award-winning work in Indianapolis’ historic neighborhoods, Rottmann has completed several recognized projects for clients such as WellPoint, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Fifth Third Bank and the City of Indianapolis.
Rod Collier was a design architect and project manager with MSKTD from 1994 to 2008. In addition to several projects for Indiana University, Purdue University, and DePauw University, Collier was the design architect for significant projects such as the Ball State University David Letterman Communication and Media Building, Ball State University Student Recreation and Wellness facility and the Lutheran Children’s Hospital.
With a talented team of licensed architects and registered interior designers, Rottmann Collier Architects maintains a commitment to enhance communities through thoughtful, innovative design.
