Rod Collier and Todd Rottmann met at a lunchtime meeting in 2008. Despite the fact that Rod freaked Todd out by wearing a suit and tie, the pair hit it off. Within a few short months, Rod had joined Rottmann Architects as a consultant. Within a year, Todd and Rod both made the decision to combine their strengths into one dynamic duo.

A Warsaw, Indiana native, Rod is a small part of an extremely large and close family. He was the first graduate from Whitko High School to pursue an education and career in architecture. Rod graduated with honors from the Ball State University College of Architecture and Planning in Muncie, Indiana. Rod is a creative, detail-oriented, results-driven architect with a proven record of excellent design talent. The work of Rod Collier has been featured in numerous publications and he has a career full of successful projects with a focus on residential, historic preservation, strategic master planning, educational projects, and healthcare facilities. He has experience in all aspects of project management including programming, documentation, client interaction, and construction administration.
Rod is a Licensed Architect in the states of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Florida as well as a Registered Interior Designer in Indiana. Rod and his husband, John Strachan, live in the exciting Herron-Morton Place neighborhood in downtown Indianapolis.
