Life around the office
Our team is diverse and interesting… …we genuinely like each other too! We work hard, but we play hard too. Todd and Rod created the office environment to help collaboration and communication, but it also promotes friendship and interaction. Our daily schedules vary greatly, so we frequently have downtime together.
Here are just a few of our typical office activities.
I often feel like a flight attendant rolling along with the bar cart
Beer:30
Yes, we have a rolling bar cart. Yes, we keep the refrigerator stocked with beer and wine. Yes, we frequently hang out together for “Beer:30” at 4:30pm on Fridays [or 3:30pm for some in the office…]. It’s a great way to kick off the weekend and wind down the work week.
Group Hug
Nicknamed the “Group Hug”, our Tuesday office meetings are actually at any number of local restaurants as a team. Todd and Rod treat the team to lunch every Tuesday. We do cover the projects we are working on for the week, but we often recap the weekend too.

The land of misfit toys
We sometimes describe our amazing little team as “the land of misfit toys”. We are each exceptional in our own way (even if we don’t fit in a package that conforms with societal standards). We are unique. We are fun. We love our jobs (and our coworkers).
We also seem to love our holidays…
Lights, Camera, Action…
We are getting used to film crews in the office… Rottmann Collier Architects loves our work with HGTV’s Good Bones television show. Whether it is Todd and Rod on a jobsite or their team shooting scenes in the office, we don’t seem to mind cameras.
