Mmmm, Coffee

For almost 5 years, Rottmann Collier Architects has been honored to be part of the design team for White Bison Coffee Shops popping up in Tennessee. The coffee shop concept was originally just a small area of a co-branded space within the Twice Daily convenience stores [cstore] owned by Tri-Star Energy out of Nashville, Tennessee.

From 2016-2019, two stand alone White Bison Coffee shops [independent of Twice Daily] came online in Nashville and the first 8 integrated White Bison/Twice Daily stores were built in the communities in and around Nashville. They were great, but Tri-Star knew they could be better.

In 2019, Tri-Star once again reached out to Rottmann Collier Architects for a complete redesign of the White Bison/Twice Daily stores. White Bison was no longer going to be relegated to just a corner of the integrated convenience stores; White Bison took on a prominent position for both the interior spaces as well as the exterior design.

Rod Collier redesigned the flow and feel of the entire space.

In September of 2020, Twice Daily celebrated the grand opening of the first two new-builds featuring the revamped look — one in Arrington, Tennessee, and one in La Vergne, Tennessee. Shortly thereafter, a third store featuring the new design opened in Athens, Alabama.

All three new locations measure 4,800 square feet.

The new integrated design just won the “Best Store Design Award” and was featured in CStore Decisions.
